LIZA SOBERANO – Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano speaks about her character “Alexandra Trese” in Trese and how she is connected to her.
“Trese” is currently making rounds online. One of the reasons is the monotonous dubbing of Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano for the character Alexandra Trese. Her counterpart in the English version is Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell. With the critical comments the actress has received, voice actor Inka Magnaye defended her.

Accordingly, she just gave the right balance of youth and grim to the character. Even the producer-director Jay Oliva said that her performance was better than the outcome they have expected. In a previous article, in a shortlist of the actors chosen, it all narrowed to her. She was handpicked to voice the character.
The famous actress has also expressed that she has prepared for this. She has practiced her Tagalog for a couple of weeks and reading such comments would only make her feel bad. Thus, she opted to avoid seeing the comments.
And in her recent IG post, she shared a clip of her expressing how much she loves her character and how connected she is to her. She accordingly loved how Trese is so independent, courageous, and a bad@$$. They are also the same in the sense that they would for what is right and to what they believe in.
“I can definitely relate to that. I am not afraid to speak my mind and like, I would truly fight for the people I love and for what I believe in as long as I think I’m doing the right thing,” she said.
