Liza Soberano Voice In “Trese” Official Trailer, Netizens React

People online keep gushing about Liza Soberano voicing over “Trese”, an anime adaptation.

LIZA SOBERANO – Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano is the voice behind lead character Alexandra Trese and netizens have these reactions.

The Filipino graphic novel by Budjette Tan and Kajo Baldisimo has been adapted to an anime entitled “Trese”. And on Friday, May 21, Netflix has finally released the official trailer of this and netizens were gushing about the voice behind the lead character who is Kapamilya actress Liza Soberano.

Directed by Rudolf Baldonado, the other local voice talents included Simon dela Cruz (Crispin and Basilio), Apollo Abraham (Captain Guerrero), Christopher Carlo Caling (Hank), Christian Velarde (Nuno), and Eugene Adalia (Anton Trese). The counterpart of Soberano in the English version is Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell of “Pretty Little Liars”. And the other voice actors with her are Darren Criss, Jon Jon Briones, Nicole Scherzinger, Manny Jacinto, Lou Diamond Phillips, and Dante Basco.

Trese will according have six episodes and will premiere on Netflix on June 11. The theme song is called “Paagi” which was composed by UDD formerly Up Dharma Down. Armi Millare and Paul Yap were on the lyrics.


The story is set in Manila and the adventures of Alexandra deals with the supernatural criminal underworld. The whole story is heavily influenced by Philippine folklore where horror figures such as tiyanaks, engkanto, tikbalang, and others are featured. Even the famous line Tabi tabi po was also used in the seriens.
