Seasoned actress Janice De Belen spoke about the current love life status of her daughter, Kaila Estrada, Daniel Padilla’s rumored new GF.
The speculation about Kaila Estrada and Daniel Padilla started in late 2025 after they were spotted together at various events and social gatherings. This is several months after the separation of Padilla from Kathryn Bernardo.
The relationship sparked buzz after Kaila shared a sweet photo with Daniel, paired with a romantic soundtrack during his birthday celebration. Soon after, videos of the two dancing together and sharing a tender moment quickly went viral on social media.
While they have yet to categorically confirm their relationship, Kaila’s mother, Janice De Belen, once again expressed that it makes her happy seeing her daughter happy amid the persistent romance rumors.
“I am just happy that Kaila is happy. ‘Yun lang. Para sa isang parent, ang gusto mo lang maging masaya sila,” she expressed.
The actress emphasized that her child’s happiness is her top priority, saying she sees no reason to intervene when she can clearly see them genuinely happy. She added, “When you see that your child is happy, anong karapatan mong mangialam at gumitna doon sa happiness? Basta happy ka, ‘yun lang ang gusto ko.”
She admitted that she, as a parent, will always have fears and reservations when it comes to her children’s relationships. These misgivings come from a place of love because it’s just natural for her to wish they won’t be hurt or mistreated. Her protective instincts are shaped by both love and experience.
She also has reflections in life, reminding her to trust them rather than control them. These are the reflections coming from her own younger years. She said, “So, I have to trust my children na kaya nila, kaya nilang panindigan, and whatever happens they’ll come out of it okay.”
