In a report from Inquirer, a source has revealed to them that the final taping week has been scheduled already and that several of the show’s actors are aware of this. Despite the network’s apparent shutdown, the program continued airing through A2Z channel on free TV and digital platform ABS-CBN TVplus.

It can also be watched on CineMo and Kapamilya Channel on cable and satellite TV via Kapamilya Channel (SKYchannel 8 on SD and channel 167 on HD, Cablelink channel 8, G Sat Direct TV channel 22, and most cable operator-members under Philippine Cable and Telecommunications Association).

However, the ABS-CBN Corporate Communications head Kane Choa answered PEP on March 3 that this is not true. As per PEP, their insider informed them that they had just finished their sixth cycle of lock-in taping and will be back for the seventh one next month.

They are going to work on episodes which are good for a month but this will not be the last. It said, “Cycle 7 is not the final cycle.”

The FPJAP is the TV adaptation of  Fernando Poe, Jr.’s classic film “Ang Probinsyano” in 1996. The series has started airing last September 28, 2015, which made it the longest action drama in TV history for being on air for over 5 years and going on its 6th year.
