The management of Barbie Forteza had to cancel this event for fans
The mall tour for the Regal Entertainment, Inc. movie Saving Cherry, starring Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, has been put on hold.
Saving Cherry is scheduled for nationwide cinema release in the Philippines on September 2, 2026. It is directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal. This film showcases the other side of Barbie as she sheds off her traditional wholesome onscreen persona to play her most daring and unhinged role yet.
The Kapuso actress along with her co-stars Mika Salamanca, Mikee Quintos, Sassa Gurl, AC Bonifacio, Khalil Ramos, Kokoy De Santos, and Joey Marquez, and other cast members have been busy promiting their movies, as a recent media conference was held.
A mall tour was scheduled this Sunday. Due to the heavy rains and widespread flooding, the mother-and-daughter team of Roselle and Keith Monteverde decided to postpone their two scheduled mall shows for the time being, based on the article in Abante.
In a statement, Regal Entertainment stated, “Due to the inclement weather and in consideration of the safety and well-being of our cast, crew, and fans, the SAVING CHERRY Mall Tour scheduled on August 9, 2026 at SM City Novaliches and SM City Pampanga is CANCELLED.”
The management also apologized for the cancellation and asked fans to watch out for future announcements.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your kind understanding. Please stay tuned to our official social media pages for further announcements regarding the mall tour. Stay safe, everyone,” Regal Entertainment stated.
For the safety of Barbie Forteza, the rest of the cast, the Regal staff, and the fans, it was indeed best to postpone the mall tour for “Saving Cherry.”
Meanwhile, Barbie’s recent statement about her leading man Khalil Ramos went viral. It was because she said that at last she was able to have a leading man who is “maayos.”
