After a while of silence, Sarah Geronimo expressed statement about ABS-CBN.
SARAH GERONIMO – Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo has expressed this statement following the shut down of her home network ABS-CBN.
Several critics of Kapamilya singer Sarah Geronimo have been hitting her online due to her being “mute” about the issues and controversies of ABS-CBN. The media company is the biggest in the Philippines but was shut down just recently following an overwhelming 70 votes from the lawmakers junking their franchise renewal application.
Now, breaking her silence with all the issues of the network, she took her Instagram account with a wide following and expressed her sadness over what happened. She indicated her gratitude to the network and thankful for all the opportunities which were given to her and made her the successful star that she is now.
She may not understand why the renewal wasn’t granted but she she remained hopeful and still praying for another chance to her network. A chance to continue working and serving the people. She added, “Naniniwala po ako na walang pagsubok na di natin kayang malagpasan basta’t tayo’y nagkakaisa sa panalangin at pagsisikap.”
She believed that unity will ignite strength to surpass everything that they’ve been going through. Her heart also goes out to the people who lost their job and was saddened to what just happened. Sarah also commended her bosses who fought decently and in humility amid all those accusations.
The network was able to prove their innocence but was still denied to continue their operations.
