Bacolod Records 21 Death in all Dengue Cases Aroud the City

Dengue cases and fatalities in Bacolod City has increased during the first 8 months of 2022.

According to the report of Daily Star, Claudio Puentevella, a councilor from Bacolod and the head of the Sanggunian Committee on Health, said they are waging an aggressive campaign against dengue in order to prevent cases from growing alarmingly high and the situation from becoming similar to other areas that have been declared disaster zones.

Mansilingan had the most dengue cases with 73, followed by Estefania with 49, Taculing with 48, Tangub with 41, Singcang and Villamonte with 39 each, Alijis with 35, Sum-ag with 32, Mandalagan with 31 and Cabug with 29, and Handumanan with 23.

Along with performing fogging operations in schools and the many barangays in the city, the CHO also keeps up a vigorous health education campaign on dengue treatment and consultation as well as the significance of eliminating mosquito breeding grounds.
