The Real Reason Angelica Panganiban Stopped Sharing Sabine Online
ANGELICA PANGANIBAN – After years of sharing family moments online, Angelica Panganiban has decided that her daughter deserves a more private childhood.
Kapamilya actress Angelica Panganiban has opened up about why she and her husband, Gregg Homan, decided to step away from creating vlogs more than a year ago. During her interview with Kapamilya broadcaster Karen Davila, the actress shared that their decision was largely influenced by their desire to protect the privacy of their daughter, Amila Sabine, as she continues to grow up.
Angelica revealed that when their daughter became old enough to communicate clearly, they realized it was time to make a change in how much of her life they shared online.

“Kung nakikita ng mga tao, we used to have a YouTube channel. Nung buo na siya magsalita, tinanggal na namin,” said Angelica.
According to the actress, she and Gregg wanted to ensure that Sabine would not become overly exposed to social media at such a young age. While they appreciate the opportunities that online platforms can provide, they believe that children deserve to grow up with as much privacy as possible before deciding for themselves whether they want a public life.
Angelica also shared that she and her husband both support restrictions on social media use for children aged 16 and below.
“Ayaw ko na siyang ma-involve sa social media and ayoko na rin kasi na balikan niya ako at some point in her life na bakit ko yun ginawa sa kanya.
“We agreed–– parehas kami ng husband ko–– na okay kami to do endorsements pero hindi sa social media,” Angelica shared.
Beyond limiting social media exposure, Angelica also spoke about the kind of mother she hopes to be for Sabine as she grows older.
“Gusto ko siyang lumaki na ako yung best friend niya–– na pag may problema, ako lang lagi yung tatawagan niya. I want her to feel safe with me. Of course, gusto ko siyang magkaroon ng sobrang daming kaibigan dahil ngayon mag-isa pa lang siyang anak ko–– hindi natin alam kung ano pa ang mangyayari in the future,” said Angelica.

She added, “Kung magiging only daughter ko siya, I want her to have all the friends in the world para hindi niya maramdaman yung pagiging mag-isa niya. Pero bukod doon, gusto ko na ako yung bestest friend niya.”
The actress also shared that Sabine will attend a coeducational school to help her interact with different kinds of people and prepare for the realities of life. Angelica believes these experiences will help shape her daughter into a confident and compassionate individual.
Despite wanting to shield Sabine from unnecessary online attention, Angelica emphasized that she does not want to protect her from every challenge life may bring.
“Alam mo, hindi ako takot na masaktan siya in life–– heartbreak, hindi. Sabi ko nga, gusto ko siyang maging katulad ko–– wag tanga ah.
“Gusto ko siyang magmahal ng katulad ko–– yung hindi sumusuko sa love kahit masaktan siya. Love again, try again,” she concluded.
