Janine Gutierrez Breaks Silence on De Leon Siblings’ Feud
JANINE GUTIERREZ – The actress has expressed her full support for her mother, Lotlot de Leon, amid the ongoing conflict involving Lotlot and her siblings, Matet and Ian de Leon.
Speaking during the press conference for the Cinemalaya 2026 film Mag-iina, Janine said her biggest concern is her mother’s well-being and that she hopes the family will eventually reconcile.
Janine shared that Lotlot has always been her inspiration as the eldest child, which is why she continues to stand by her during this difficult time. She said her priority is to see her mother happy and healthy, adding that she does not want her to suffer from stress because of the family issue. While many are hoping the De Leon siblings will settle their differences, Janine said she is simply praying for whatever will bring peace and happiness to her mother.

The actress also spoke about her relationship with actor Jericho Rosales. She expressed gratitude after Jericho acknowledged her in his acceptance speech when he won Best Actor at the 9th EDDYs for his performance in Quezon. Janine explained that his comment about her holding his hand referred to a real moment while he was filming. During scenes that required heavy facial prosthetics, Jericho felt uncomfortable, and she stayed by his side to support him.
Janine said she appreciates that Jericho always remembers to thank her publicly. She also shared that they continue to support each other through life’s challenges, believing that a strong relationship is built on being present for one another in both good and difficult times.

Janine stars in Mag-iina, an official entry to Cinemalaya 2026. The psychological family drama explores the emotional struggles of a family affected by painful memories, hidden secrets, and complicated relationships. Instead of relying on traditional horror, the film focuses on the emotional pain that can exist within families.
