For Manny Pacquiao, surveys are not reliable
Presidential aspirant Senator Manny Pacquiao does not believe in the results of pre-election surveys and he won’t let this affect his campaign.
Several poll bodies have been releasing pre-elections surveys since last year. In a recent survey result that was released by OCTA Research, the Senator placed fourth with 10 percent.
The survey was held from February 12-17 and with sample size 1,200 respondents. However, Sen. Pacquiao expressed that he is unbothered by this. Based on the report from Inquirer, the presidential aspirant said that pre-election surveys have never been accurate.
“Sa dalawang dekadang lumipas, pakitaan mo ako ng tumama sa survery sa bawat eleksyon. Si Duterte, ni-review ko e, tiningnan ko and survey, pangatlo lang siya. Sa February 2016, pang-apat pa siau, March pangatlo siya, April pangatlo pa rin siya,” Sen. Manny Pacquiao stressed.
He also said that he won’t let the result of the pre-election surveys hinder his campaigning. Other presidential aspirants reacted also to survey results. Senator Ping Lacson also slammed the recent OCTA Research presidential survey with UniTeam’s candidate Bongbong Marcos leading with 55 percent.
Lacson said that if the survey was true, then, the winner was the one who was absent during the CNN Philippines presidential debate. The daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo also shared her reaction to the survey.
Aika Robredo said that they acknowledge the facts that are brought by numbers but survey results do not affect their efforts to reach out to more people. Supporters of VP Leni also tagged the most recent Pulse Asia Survey result as “False Asia”.
For the daughter of the Vice President, this will be a factor for them to even motivate themselves to work on things that would ensure success for them as Election Day is happening a few months from now.
