The simple yet elegant wedding cake of newlyweds Bea Alonzo and Vincent Co has unexpectedly become one of the most talked-about details from their intimate civil wedding, drawing attention not only from fans but also from customers eager to recreate the now-viral design.

Following the couple’s wedding held at Makati City Hall on Monday, July 13, the owners of Wadough’s revealed that their business has been experiencing a significant boost in online engagement and customer inquiries.

On his Facebook account, Wado Tan Siman expressed his gratitude by posting, “SALAMAT Basha,” along with a heart emoji after the wedding of Bea and Vincent. The message quickly caught the attention of fans, many of whom visited the bakery’s social media pages after learning that Wadough’s created the couple’s wedding cake.

The increase in interest was immediately reflected in the bakery’s social media following. Their Facebook page grew from 133,712 followers to 146,226, while their Instagram account also saw a jump from 42,596 followers to 50,475.

Pat Sumagui, one of the owners of Wadough’s, shared how the wedding cake has become a favorite among customers. “Simula nu’ng Martes (July 14), daming orders, ‘yun at ‘yun lang naman tulad ng kina Bea at Vincent.”

The wedding cake featured a minimalist design with a pale yellow tint, soft colors, and a simple inscription that read, “just married.” Its understated elegance resonated with many people who admired its clean and timeless appearance.

According to Pat, the cake’s popularity has translated into consistent business. “Paldo kami araw-araw,” he casually remarked while talking to a friend.

Social media users also had fun imagining personalized messages they would place on similar cakes. Among the humorous suggestions were, “Happy Birthday Tanda”, “Bakit Parang Kasalanan Ko”, “Hbd MAGHIHIWALAY din Kayo, love Mommy”, and “Masarap ako, Walang Kokontra, Happy birthday self.”

One netizen even commented, “Thanks Bea for making a way for the business to be more famous.”

Another social media user, Theresa Bsws, was inspired enough to write, “Sa court wedding namin gagayahin ko ‘tong cake design na ‘to nakaka-inspire naman.”

Aside from the viral wedding cake, Wadough’s also recently shared on its Instagram account another collection of beautifully crafted cakes prepared for July celebrants, continuing to showcase the bakery’s signature minimalist aesthetic that has now captured even more public attention.
