Ping Lacson Unbothered By Survey Results: ‘Ang totoo sa May 9’

Ping Lacson reacted to the recent pre-election survey result

Senator Ping Lacson said that he is unbothered by survey results as he pointed out that the real voting will be on May 9, 2022.

In a recent OCTA Research survey that took place on February 12-17, Lacson was in fifth place with just 3 percent. Former Senator Bongbong Marcos once again topped the survey with 55 percent. His running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte, also topped the vice-presidential survey.

When asked about this, Sen. Ping Lacson said that this does not affect him, based on the report from Inquirer He said that if he will believe the survey result, then, the one who was absent in CNN Philippines debate is the winner.

Marcos, just like his running mate, did not attend the debate. “Ako hindi ako bothered. ‘Di ako deterred dun sa mga survey results. Talagang ang totoo lang na dapat tignan natin ay May 9,” Lacson said.

The presidential aspirant also said, “Kung babasehan lang natin ang resulta ng survey, walang mananalo sa aming nine kung babasehan ang survey. Ang mananalo, ang panalo na, yung wala doon kung susundan natin yang mga surveys.”

Lacson said that skipping debates is “unfair” to other candidates. However, he stressed that there is no law mandating candidates to attend debates. “Well, you can say it’s unfair pero wala naman tayo magagawa kasi ‘di mo naman talaga ma-impose,” Sen. Ping Lacson said.

In a separate report, the daughter of Vice President Leni Robredo reacted also to the recent survey result. They are acknowledging the numbers but they are dwelling on this as the survey only shows the choice of a certain sample size which is 1,200 respondents.
