Overloading Motorcycle Rider Carrying Bread Products Apprehended by MMDA Due to Traffic Violation
The video footage of MMDA apprehending a motorcycle rider carrying bread products for overloading elicits comments online.
The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority is an agency of the Republic of the Philippines created for the delivery of metro-wide services within Metro Manila. The agency is tasked to take actions regarding local matters.
Recently, the Facebook page “Gadget Addict” has shared the video of MMDA traffic czar Edison Bong Nebrija apprehending a motorcycle committing a traffic violation. The video quickly spread like a wildfire and garnered various reactions from the online community.

In the video, it can be seen that several MMDA employees apprehended a motorcycle rider carrying a massive amount of load and his backrider is also carrying the bread products. Nebrija lectured the violator.
The MMDA chief instructed the rider that overloading is a violation of traffic rules and regulation and it is extremely dangerous especially in major roads. Overloading can cause accidents, which can cause injuries or even death.
Nebrija explained the danger and disadvantages of overloading. He instructed the rider to use jeepney, taxi or other bigger vehicles to transport products for their own safety and avoid accidents.
After a few moments, the MMDA executive urged the rider to take away the breads from the motorcycle and transfer it to a taxi vehicle.
