Ogie Diaz talked about this recent rumor involving Kim Chiu
Talent manager-vlogger Ogie Diaz shared his reaction to the rumor that Kapamilya actress-host Kim Chiu us pregnant.
The rumored pregnancy of Kim started circulating in July, and it was because of her photos and videos allegedly showing her baby bump. A netizen, who claimed to be a nurse, strongly believed that the actress-host is carrying a baby.
Amid the pregnancy rumor, Kim chose not to address this matter. However, the speculations kept on lingering on social media, since netizens talked about how the actress changed her wardrobe to more loose outfits.
This rumor also garnered different reactions from her fans. Some fans said that there is nothing wrong if ever Kim Chiu is already pregnant since she is not young anymore, and that they would support her all the way. For some fans, it is not good that other poeple would speculate about the actress’s condition.
In a recent episode of Showbiz Update, the YouTube talk show of Ogie Diaz, he also shared his reaction to Kim’s rumored pregnancy, based on the article in Bandera.
Ogie said that people have been following this rumor and it was noticeable that Kim opted not to wear revealing clothes these past weeks. He also took notice of the fact that Kim has not yet spoken about the issue.
“Ipinapalagay na ng Kim Chiu fans na sana raw preggy na si Kim at sana raw totoo kasi nga naman wala pang direktang pag-amin mula sa dalawa (Kim at Paulo Avelino).” Ogie Diaz said.
Then, some comments from fans who showed support for Kim were shown. Ogie’s co-hsot Dyosa Pockoh mentioned that no one in It’s Showtime is talking about the pregnancy rumor and maybe because they signed an NDA or non-disclosure agreement.
“Na kahit sinong hosts ay walang magbibiro kay Kim tungkol sa buntis na isyu,” Dyosa Pockoh said.
Ogie said that he is not used that Showtime hosts are not joking about this. His other co-host Mama Loi, commented, “Tulad ng kay Juliana Gomez may kumalat na blind item na siya ang itinuturong buntis at bilang patunay (naglabas) ng resibo nagi-gym, very active, ‘di ba?”
Then, the talent manager-vlogger shared that maybe because of the “morality clause” in Kim’s contract. Ogie cited an example as a former manager of actress Liza Soberano.
“Bilang manager tulad nu’ng kay Liza (Soberano) na laging may morality clause sa contract sa brand endorsements na hindi siya pwedeng magbuntis within the live contract (active real -time agreement), (bawal magbuntis) out of wedlock may mga ganyan ‘yung iba. Kasi kung pipirmahan mo ‘yun nag-agree ka at may penalty ‘yun pag hindi ito nasunod hindi ko lang alam kung magkano yung penalty or ibabalik mo ‘yung ibinayad sa iyo ng brand. Ganyan ang (kontrata) sa mga wholesome brand,” he said.
On the other hand, Ogie said that there could be an exemption if the artist did not sign the said clause and fought for his or her preference. However, he stressed that there are certain brands who really does not want their female endorsers to get pregnant because of the “wholesome” image.
“Lalo na hindi pa sila umaamin ni Paulo, may naka-stipulate rin sa contract na bawal ka masangkot sa public scandal,” Ogie said, stressing that these are the possible reasons why Kim Chiu has not yet spoken about the pregnancy rumor.
Ogie also mentioned that as what he heard. Kim is set to have her vacation leave these coming days, which they don’t want to think is connected to her rumored pregnancy.
