In a social media update, Kapuso actress Glaiza de Castro and Irish businessman David Rainey shared that they are entering an exciting new chapter as they prepare to welcome their first child. To recall, the actress previously shared that having a baby had become one of their priorities.
The actress announced the happy news, which marked a new chapter in their marriage after years of discussing their plans to start a family. As we all know, the couple have been married since 2021, with their first wedding held in Northern Ireland and later holding another wedding ceremony in the Philippines in 2023.
In March 2025, Glaiza said during an appearance on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda that she was already ready to become a mother. She was initially hesitant because of her work commitments and would just want to have one once everything was in place, and she trusted that it would happen at the right time.
As it turns out, this right time has just arrived.
She wrote in the caption, “Entering another chapter. So glad I’m through the first trimester because… GRABE PALA. Will share more about this soon! It’s also been so nice and comforting talking to other women about this journey as a first-time mom. I need all the help I can get.”
The Kapuso actress further expressed how amazed she is by the whole motherhood process.
