CLAUDINE BARRETTO – A major life change could be on the horizon for Claudine Barretto as she reveals plans to settle down in Samal Island.
Actress Claudine Barretto is considering a major lifestyle change as she revealed that she is planning to settle down on Samal Island in Davao del Norte.
Claudine happily shared the possibility of moving to the island when she was asked if she had already visited the popular destination. According to the actress, her recent trip to Samal was not simply for leisure, as she also went there to look at a potential property.
“Yes, galing akong Samal. May tinitingnan akong lupa ’dun.
“Gusto ko talaga, in love talaga ako [sa Samal],” said Claudine.
Her statements suggest that Claudine has already developed a strong appreciation for the island and is seriously considering making it her new home. She admitted that she is willing to settle in Davao del Norte because she has grown fond of the place and its surroundings.
Despite the distance from Manila, Claudine said she is prepared to travel back to the capital whenever work requires her presence.
“Balak ko talaga tumira, tapos uwi na lang ako [Manila] ’pag may trabaho. Taga-Samal na lang ako,” the actress added.
Her plan quickly caught the attention of netizens, with many sharing their thoughts about the possible move. While some appeared excited about Claudine’s decision, others questioned whether she would be able to adjust to the lifestyle on the island, particularly because of concerns about accessibility and convenience.
One netizen pointed out that Samal may not have the same level of access to malls and hospitals as major cities. The commenter also mentioned the travel time between Samal and Davao City and suggested that having a private speedboat or yacht could make transportation easier.
Another netizen jokingly speculated about Claudine’s future, saying, “Baka magulat tayo, bugla na lang kumakandidato si Claudine sa Davao.”
A different commenter praised Samal’s beauty but questioned whether Claudine would be ready to give up some city conveniences, particularly access to malls and hospitals.
For now, there is still no confirmation on whether Claudine has already purchased a property on Samal Island. However, her recent remarks make it clear that settling down there is something she is seriously considering.
