Police Arrest Cellphone Snatcher But Suspect Begs Victim Not to File Case Against Him

The police authorities were able to catch and arrest a cellphone snatcher but the suspect begged the victim not to file case as “Pamasko”.

A Facebook user named Arnel Atchazo Rillon has shared the video footage of police officers arresting a cellphone snatcher who victimized a lady jeep passenger. The video circulates online and garnered various reactions from the netizens.

The cops and concerned residents worked together to catch the suspect who snatched a cellphone from a female passenger inside of a public jeepney along Petron G. Tuazon. The police immediately respond after hearing someone shouting “Snatcher”.

The lady passenger has also expressed her fury and attacked the suspect. The victim was able to recover her mobile phone and the police officers stopped her from mauling the snatcher.

The suspect identified as Ariel Guzman who is currently detained at Sampaloc, Police admitted the crime and explained that he really needs money for the medication of sick child.

According to the police officers, the female victim would file robbery charges against Guzman. The snatcher begged the victim to withdraw the charges against him and apologized for his wrongdoing.

Guzman asked the woman not to file charges and give his freedom as Christmas gift or “pamasko”.
