The legal counsel of Nadine Lustre released this recent statement
Actress Nadine Lustre has an ongoing negotiations with Viva Artist Agency with the aim to end the legal controversies that both parties were entangled with.
This legal battle started in 2020 when Nadine intended to end her contract with Viva as for her it was “oppressive”. From that, the actress started to “manage” herself. Although she did not do any movie of TV show for several months, she concentrated on her music career. She even held a digital concert with the help of her ex-boyfriend’s music label Careless Music.
Last June of this year, Nadine Lustre was ordered to honor the contract that she has with Viva as it is still “valid”. After that court’s decision, the talent management company announced that she will be doing a movie.
However, her lawyer Atty. Lorna Kapunan said that the legal battle is “not yet over” as they were planning to file a motion for reconsideration. The lawyer explained that Nadine has a separate movie contract with Viva and this has nothing to do with the case she filed to end her contract with VAA as her talent manager.
On November 3, Atty, Gideon Pena, along with Eirene Jhone Aguila, the legal counsel of the actress released a statement. Based on the statement Nadine’s camp is negotiating with VAA “to put an end to legal controversies”.
It also said that the actress is “open to amicably settling with Viva”, even though she is confident about what she if fighting. The actress, just like Viva, is looking forward to presenting deserving output to the audience not just here in the Philippines but also abroad.
“Nadine trusts that Viva will remain true to its mission statement “to empower and develop artists and talent for the betterment of their careers and lives,” the statement stressed.
