Nadine Lustre terminated her contract with Viva Artists Agency
Actress Nadine Lustre terminated her contract with Viva Artists Center (VAA) and decided to manage her career in showbiz.
She has been under the management of VAA since 2009 when she was launched as part of the group Pop Girls. From that, she was given a break to work with her now ex-boyfriend James Reid in the movie Diary ng mga Panget. Following that, the JaDine tandem was born.
October last year, James announced that he left VAA. Then, he launched his independent record label Careless Music. On December 10, 2019, Nadine signed a contract with the record label of James.
Reportedly, that was the first sign that the actress showed hints of leaving VAA. It was said that there had been rumors that she would leave the talent management.
Based on the report from ABS-CBN Entertainment, Nadine Lustre, through Kapunan & Castillo Law Offices informed the public that she is no longer a talent of Viva Artists Agency.
Here is the statement:
“Consistent with her rights under the Civil Code of the Philippines, specifically Article 1920, she has decided to terminate her agency contract with Viva. She shall directly manage her affairs from now on, and bookings and inquiries may be directly addressed to her.”
A week ago, Nadine and James went controversial when they finally confirmed their breakup after speculations circulated for several days. In their joint statement, the ex-couple stressed out that they are still friends and will continue to work with each other, especially when it comes to music.
They are still spotted together after the breakup announcement and this created speculationsen that they are faking their separation.
