Bus Accidentally Hits Young Kid Who Throws Stone to Its Windshield
QUEZON CITY – A young kid along EDSA Carousel has passed away after he got hit by the bus he stoned between MRT Santolan at Ortigas station.
On Thursday (July 8, 2021), the Facebook page “InterAgency Council for Traffic – IACT” has shared the video footage of a bus that accidentally hits a young kid along EDSA. The video garnered various reactions from the online community.
According to the witnesses, the bus is heading north around 8:30 – 9:00 am when a child went into the middle of the road and stoned the public utility vehicle. The left portion of the windshield has been damaged due to the stone’s impact.
After a few moments, the kid attempted to run away and jumped outside of the carousel but failed to avoid the bus. The PUV accidentally hits the kid and the bus driver stopped to seek help.
I-ACT Dragon marshals headed by A/TL. Nelson Ty together with emergency response units of Quezon City, PNP and MMDA immediately respond to the scene. Unfortunately, the kid passed away due to the incident.
Currently, the bus driver is cooperating with the authorities. Aside from the victim, there are no casualties have been recorded.
