Sharon Cuneta debunked these allegations against her husband
Megastar Sharon Cuneta slammed the accusation that her husband, Senator Kiko Pangilinan, is involved in the flood control issue.
Sharon has been very supportive of Sen’ Kiko’s political career. She was all-in during campaigns and has rallied behind him when issues arise.
Once again, Sharon rallied behind Sen. Kiko when individuals claiming to be former associates of ex-congressman Zaldy Co alleged that the politician received a suitcase containing cash, based on the report from Manila Times.
Through her social media post on Tuesday, June 16, 2026, Sharon Cuneta denied the allegations against her husband that he received money during the time when he visited Marawi City.
The actress-singer stressed that the allegations are false and lack evidence. “MGA SINUNGAAAALING!!!!!!! SOBRA TALAGA KAYO!!!!!” the Megastar said.
Sharon also explained that she documented the Marawi visit in a vlog and that the purpose of it was to express gratitude to local officials and residents for supporting her husband’s senatorial candidacy.
“I vlogged about this visit my family and I made to Marawi to thank the Governor, Mayor, and other officials and their families for their support for Kiko,” the actress-singer said.
Sharon also questioned the credibility of individuals accusing her husband. She pointed out that of all the places, those accusers really chose Marawi as the place to hand a suitcase to them.
The Megastar also stressed that she and her family are earning their living through hard work. “Eto nagtetaping pa ako ngayon — nagbabanat pa rin ng buto at lumalaban ng patas, dahil lahat ng meron kami, pinaghihirapan namin,” Sharon Cuneta said.
Before this, Sen. Kiko Pangilinan had already denied the accusation against him. For him, this is simply an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
It was also mentioned that the allegations surfaced after reports stated that Pangilinan would chair the Senate Blue Ribbon Subcommittee, which would handle the investigation into alleged irregularities in flood control projects.
