Rizal Town Vice Mayor Jolet delos Santos’ Son Confirms Father’s Death due to Coronavirus
RIZAL TOWN VICE MAYOR – Jalajala municipality Vice Mayor Jolet delos Santos died of coronavirus.
The world is currently on a fight against the spread of the 2019 novel coronavirus or COVID-19. Declared as pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO), the international organization said that it is going to be a long-term battle.
Philippines is one of the countries affected by coronavirus. For several weeks now, there is an increasing momentum in the number of confirmed cases in the country.
According to the Department of Health (DOH), a total of 538 new cases of COVID-19 were recently confirmed in the country. It brought the total to 2,084.
The health department also stated that 49 people recovered from coronavirus. The death toll now is at 88.
One of those who died from coronavirus is a Rizal town vice mayor. Based on a report on CNN, Vice Mayor Jolet delos Santos of Jalajala tested positive for COVID-19 in March 25.
According to the report, the Vice Mayor was isolated and was in a stable condition as relayed by his son. However, the turn changed.
Recently, the son of the Rizal town Vice Mayor confirmed that he passed away due to coronavirus. He posted a heartbreaking message on Facebook:
