Man Arrested After Alleged Scam Involving Cheap Rice Offer
MODUS OPERANDI – A man was arrested by authorities after allegedly tricking people with a false offer of cheap rice.
Recently, Mharvi Jhon Daz Matias, a Facebook user, shared photos of the suspect who was allegedly involved in cheap rice offer. The post quickly gained attention online and sparked various reactions from the internet users.
Matias said that the man reportedly pretended to sell rice at a very low price to attract buyers. He allegedly offered rice at P800 per 25 kilos, which is far cheaper than the usual market price. Because of the unusually low cost, many people became interested and placed orders or gave down payments.

However, instead of delivering the promised rice, the suspect allegedly disappeared after collecting money from his victims. The post claimed that several individuals had already been victimized by the scheme, losing their payments with no rice delivered in return.
Mharvi shared the post said the suspect had been tracked down and eventually arrested by police. The post also expressed frustration over the incident, highlighting how easily people can be deceived by offers that seem too good to be true.
Authorities have yet to release full details about the case, but the arrest has brought relief to those who may have been affected.
