Update on DOH Record on Total New Coronavirus Cases in PH

DOH – The Department of Health confirmed 538 new cases of the 2019 novel coronavirus in the Philippines today, March 31, 2020.

The PH is fighting a huge battle to contain the spread of COVID-19, a pandemic that has infected over 700,000 people worldwide. More than 33,000 people across the globe died of the said strain of coronavirus.

The COVID-19 was first recorded in Wuhan City in China. It had an outbreak leading to the locking down of the city. The Chinese community is now recovering from the said crisis.

Italy is now the one under an outbreak. Over 100,000 people were infected in the country that is now under a total lockdown. The United States is the nation with the most number of coronavirus cases now after confirming over 140,000 confirmed cases.

DOH Update Coronavirus Philippines

In the Philippines, there is a continuous increase in the total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the country. The Department of Health (DOH) told the people to expect the raise as more people are being tested now.

Recently, the DOH gave an update. Based on a post on Manila Bulletin, today, the health department recorded 538 new cases of COVID-19 in the Philippines. It brings the total to 2,084 cases confirmed in the country.

With regards to the death toll, based on the post, ten (10) new deaths were confirmed bringing the total to 88. On the positive side, seven (7) people added to the list of recoveries. There is now a total of 49 patients who have recovered from the disease.
