Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu expressed her gratitude as she marked this impressive milestone in her showbiz career.
Overwhelmed with gratitude, actress Kim Chiu marked her 20th anniversary in show business, saying such a milestone still feels unreal for her. In an Instagram post, she looked back on how it all began and how her life has changed since.
“Today marks my 20th year in showbiz. Honestly, it still feels unreal,” she said, and added, “As I sit here and look back, I can’t help but remember being that young girl from Cebu.”
She remembered how her mother would always take he to church and pray for her goals to come true. She wrote, “So I did. I prayed for good grades. I prayed for someone to help send us to school. I prayed for a house we could finally call our own. I prayed that one day we’d never have to keep asking for help. I prayed that I would have enough so I could help my family.”
At one point, she realized some of her dreams were impossible, but she proved that with faith and hard work, she is now living the life she once prayed for. She then expressed her gratitude to her supporters, ABS-CBN family, and brands who have loved and believed in her for the past two decades.
“I always say this, but it’s true: Kung may sobra pa sa salitang ‘SALAMAT,’ ‘yun po ang gusto kong sabihin sa inyong lahat,” she added.
The Pinoy Big Brother alumna launched her entertainment career after joining the reality show in 2006. Since then, she has headlined numerous successful films and television projects, including her recent works The Alibi, My Love Will Make You Disappear, and Linlang.
