Typhoon Carina left the country in high waters, thousands of people displaced, and huge damage to properties.
Amid adversity, Filipino people are admired for their strength and sense of “bayanihan” or brotherhood. Deep waters brought by flood is no longer a new scene in the country as this happens every year, especially during the rainy season and in times of typhoon.
And in every year, more and more people are willing to help including celebrities. Following the wrath of Carina, several celebrities took initiatives to help in their own way. Some used their platform to call for more help while others gave out free food packs. Some also offered prayers for the affected people and some helped the rescue operations putting their lives and safety at risk.

Sarah Geronimo is celebrating her birthday and as she marked this milestone in her life, she gave praises to the rescue teams who saved lots of lives and prayers for those who got affected by flood.
Philippine Army reservist Gerald Anderson volunteered to help rescue efforts to help those who got stranded by flood. This was not the first time that the actor did this.
Celebrity couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes along with their two kids repacked relief goods which were distributed to the victims of flood brought by habagat and intensified by Carina.
Kapuso actress Jennylyn Mercado led a donation drive campaign with her husband Dennis Trillo for the flood victims.
Heart Evangelista, the head of the Senate Spouses Foundation, led the packing and distribution of goods in Marikina.
