There was an alleged character assissination against Ralph Recto
The talent manager, identified only as “Alias Ken,” has reportedly apologized to Malacañang Executive Secretary Ralph Recto for alleged character assassination plotted against him.
Authorities arrested the talent manager after catching him in the act of procuring five female artists for undercover agents posing as high-end clients.
The incident took place at a five-star hotel in Manila on the night of Wednesday, July 29, 2026., based on the report from ABS-CBN.

ABS-CBN News reporter Zyann Ambrosio reported that on August 4, based on the article from PEP, Alias Ken recounted how the alleged character assassination plot against Recto began.
He also detailed the alleged role played by former Negros Oriental First District Representative Jacinto “Jing” Paras in the operation. According to Alias Ken, his exchange of messages with Paras began on May 14, 2026, during which the plan against the Executive Secretary was allegedly discussed.
According to “Alias Ken,” the plan included preparing the women to be used in the operation, as well as rehearsing what they would say.
He said, “So it is a character assassination. Kailangan lang natin magdala ng mga tao na marunong umarte sa gagawin nating plano. Rehearsals, meron naman kaming mga ipababasa. Basta more or less, sasabihin namin yung personality ni Senator Ralph Recto.”
Batangas First District Representative Leandro Leviste has also been linked to this controversy.
Although “Alias Ken” stated that he does not personally know Leviste, he admitted that Leviste’s name was allegedly mentioned several times during his conversations with Paras.

In the interview, “Alias Ken” also explained why he did not bring along any well-known celebrities on the day the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) conducted an entrapment operation at a hotel in Manila. He said that it is because that he would feel sorry for them, and that it would be a pity.
The talent manager also admitted that the incident had a heavy impact on his family and his livelihood. He said that this very emotional because he is a family man and he has a legitimate business.
“Alyas Ken” pointed out that he makes and produce films, as well concerts, and he also manages talents. With what happened, his family’s livelihood and his own are being affected.
Ralph Recto is the husband of the “Star for All Seasons” and Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto.
