Vinny Marcos Spotted on Meetings w/ Congressmen
VINNY MARCOS – William Vincent Marcos, the youngest son of President Bongbong Marcos, is now a special assistant to House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
The Marcoses are among the most popular clans in the Philippine political arena. The current Chief Executive of the country, Pres. Bongbong Marcos, is the second member of the family to seat on the highest position in the government.
His father, the late former Pres. Ferdinand Marcos Sr., was the country’s Chief Executive for around 20 years. However, they were ousted by the 1986 EDSA People Power Revolution. They exiled in Hawaii.
After the death of Marcos Sr., the remaining members of the family were allowed to go home to the Philippines. They were able to secure posts in the government.
Pres. Bongbong Marcos served several positions in his home province, Ilocos, and the Senate before he ran for the presidency. He is married to Attorney Liza Araneta-Marcos and they have three (3) sons – Sandro, Simon, and Vinny.
Ferdinand Alexander “Sandro” Marcos is currently serving as the representative of the first congressional district of Ilocos Norte. He is also Senior Deputy Majority Leader under his uncle, House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
Recently, Vinny Marcos, the youngest son of the President, was spotted in two (2) meetings with congressmen. One of it was the meeting of the House Minority Bloc.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, it was confirmed that Vinny Marcos is now a special assistant to House Speaker Martin Romualdez. Deputy Minority Leader Bernadette Herrera also confirmed to ABS-CBN that the younger Marcos was introduced to them as Special Assistant to the Speaker, his uncle.
