Finally, celebrities Barbie Imperial and Richard Gutierrez confirmed their relationship. To recall, Barbie and Richard’s official dating was confirmed by Ogie Diaz in 2024, but with no confirmation from the involved individuals, the claims remained speculation until early this year.
Barbie said they are not hiding but just keeping it low-key to protect it.
“Can I just say that we weren’t hiding. We just chose to have a private relationship talaga [because] we know na ayaw namin ng… What people don’t know they can’t ruin,” she said.
“I agree. From the beginning, gan’un talaga. We want to keep things private. Mas relaxed ‘yung ganun, mas gusto namin ‘yung ganun,” the actor said.
In the new series of ABS-CBN called Blood vs Duty, Richard and Barbie were able to work together for the first time. The action star spoke about this experience, and according to him, he felt nervous working with the actress. However, at the same time, he felt grateful for the opportunity that was given to them.
“Yung mga eksena namin, parang recently pa lang kinukunan. So nakakapanibago working with her on the series. But at the same time, we’re just very thankful and we want to really showcase our talents here sa Blood Vs. Duty,” he said.
According to them, in an episode of Jeepney TV’s “Stars On Stars,” this new action-packed series has brought something new into their lives and careers. Richard warmly commended Barbie for her unwavering commitment to bringing the inspiring Muslim character Jamilah Abubakar to life.
Barbie, in a response, expressed that she is really dedicated to learning the roles given to her in order to give justification for them.
