PAGASA Says Easterlies & ITCZ to Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather condition is expected over most parts of the country.
On Monday (April 25, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Southern Mindanao while the Easterlies will be affecting the rest of the country.
Cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms are expected over Albay, Sorsogon, Catanduanes and Northern Samar.
The easterlies/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms are expected over provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Abra, Apayao, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet and Aurora.
The rest of Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, rest of Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro will experience similar weather condition.
“Kasalukuyan sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa ay nakakaranas ng maganda at maaliwalas na panahon. May mga pag-ulan tayong namo-monitor sa Bicol Region,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.
However, most parts of the country will experience a good and fair weather condition except for scattered rain showers and thunderstorms.
“Sa araw na ito, ang lalawigan ng Albay, Sorsogon, at Catanduanes ay makakaranas po ng maulap na kalangitan na may mga kalat-kalat na pag-ulan at thunderstorm,” Aurelio added.
The weather agency has also advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides. During severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
