Shuvee Etrata bids goodbye to her character in The Master Cutter

Kapuso actress Shuvee Etrata expressed gratitude for her journey in the Kapuso primetime action drama series The Master Cutter.

Viewers of the series were shocked and saddened by the wild plot twist involving Shuvee’s character, Tonet.

From acting as a mother figure to Ibyang, played by Sienna Stevens, to harboring dreams of becoming the girlfriend of Atoy, played by Dingdong Dantes, Shuvee’s character had truly endeared herself to the audience.

That is why everyone was left stunned by the intense scenes that unfolded after Tonet discovered that Janine (Erikka Laude) is not Atoy’s biological daughter with Audrey (Max Collins). From action-packed chase scenes to feigning illness, Shuvee’s character in the series ultimately met her end.

Based on the article in Bandera, some netizens remarked that Tonet was the show’s “happy pill,” and they looked forward to seeing her every night.

Dito po ako natuto, nag-grow, at mas nakilala ko kung sino ako bilang artista. Daghan kaayo kog nakat-unan, and I know dadalhin ko lahat ng ’yon sa mga susunod ko pang gagawin,” the actress expressed.

In her Instagram post, the actress also shared appreciation to everyone who supported the Kapuso series. She said that this project meant a lot to her because she learned so many things from her experience, especially knowing herself as an actress.

Shuvee also thanked the lead actor in the series. “Thank you for being our Master Cutter! You didn’t just stitch us together on the show, but off-camera too. You really sewed us together,” she said.
