PAGASA Says Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Luzon and Visayas regions will have a fair weather condition while rains are expected over Surigao del Sur and Davao.

On Friday (April 22, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the easterlies will be affecting the entire country. The easterlies will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Davao Region and Surigao del Sur.

The Easterlies/localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar will experience similar weather condition. Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have the same weather condition due to the localized thunderstorms.

The weather agency has also warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern Luzon as well as the remaining parts of the country will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.

Hot and fair weather condition are expected over Luzon and Visayas regions and other parts of the country. No tropical cyclones are expected to enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility over the next few days.
