The state weather bureau PAGASA has released the latest updates about Typhoon Paeng as it now moves northwards over the Philippine Sea.
On Wednesday (September 26, 2018), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) reported the latest news and updates about Typhoon Trami or locally known as “Paeng”.
PAGASA said that Paeng was last spotted at 725 kilometers east of Basco, Batanes affecting the country’s current weather condition.
The weather agency reported that the weather disturbance weakened slightly, which is expected to bring fair weather condition across the country but localized thunderstorms might occur for some afternoon or evening.
Typhoon Paeng has maximum sustained winds of 170 kilometers per hour (kph) and gustiness of up to 210 kph.
Paeng would bring light to moderate rains over Northern Luzon on Friday (September 28, 2018), according to PAGASA.
The weather bureau also warned the fisher folks in the typhoon-affected areas that sea travel remains risky due to the rough waters.
Typhoon Trami was expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday (September 29, 2018).
