Imee Marcos Says She Gets Annoyed At The #MarcosDuwag Hashtag

IMEE MARCOS – Senator Imee Marcos defended her brother Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. against the #MarcosDuwag tag.

Presidential candidate Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr. is vying for the presidency with his running mate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. He is the son of former president Ferdinand Marcos Sr. who was ousted in 1986.

In a previous article, BBM’s wife Liza Araneta-Marcos said that the politician was watching the movie “Ant-Man” when he decided to run for president. This Marvel movie is about a convicted thief turned superhero.

Bongbong Marcos has been heavily criticized on social media for skipping some interviews. Because of that, the #MarcosDuwag hashtag trended on Twitter. He skipped interviews organized by Kapuso broadcaster Jessica Soho, KBP’s presidential forum, and AM radio DZBB.

BBM also skipped CNN PH’s presidential debate. However, he attended debates organized by Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) and interviews hosted by Boy Abunda, Korina Sanchez, and AM radio DZRH.

On Saturday, Senator Imee Marcos was interviewed by AM radio station DWIZ. She spoke about her brother’s #MarcosDuwag tag.

The female politician said her brother is not a coward and believes BBM can easily answer all those debate questions. She also shared that BBM is a sensitive person and kind.

“I’m annoyed at the hashtag ‘Marcos duwag.’ My brother is not a coward. And in my opinion, he can easily answer. Yun pa.”

“On my part, [I know] my brother is sensitive. He’s kind. So he gets hurt when he’s being criticized…”

“As we all know, when you take that lead, they might gang up on my brother. So he advised not to [attend],” she added.
