Former Sen. Bongbong Marcos, Labor Leader Ka Leody de Guzman to Attend SMNI Debate
BONGBONG MARCOS – The former Senator will face off with labor leader Ka Leody de Guzman in a presidential debate.
The Election 2022 is fast approaching. The campaign period set by the Commission on Elections (Comelec) has officially started last February 8, 2022. The presidential bets held their proclamation rallies in different areas and several activities were prepared. They laid out some of their plans.
Also among the things that other people await include presidential interviews and debates. Several famous personalities in the showbiz industry have interviewed some of the presidential bets.
With regards to the debates, recently, the Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI) owned by Pastor Apollo Quiboloy invited the presidential candidates to a debate. However, four (4) of the presidential bets declined to participate in the said event.
Senator Ping Lacson cited that Pastor Apollo Quiboloy has already endorsed his presidential bet in the Election 2022 – former Sen. Bongbong Marcos. Vice Pres. Leni Robredo and Manila Mayor Isko Moreno are both set to push through their campaign plans in Panay and Samar, respectively.
As for Sen. Manny Pacquiao, he expressed that his conscience does not permit him to participate in such an event citing the charges against the Pastor. He also stressed that he has a pending cyber libel case against the SMNI owner.
Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the camp of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos Jr. and labor leader Ka Leody de Guzman confirmed that they will be attending the presidential debate hosted by the SMNI.
According to Ka Leody de Guzman, he will attend the debate even if it looks like the home court of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos as he must state his platform to the voters being a candidate. He stressed that the voters need to hear all the sides “to make an informed decision in May”.
As for the camp of Marcos Jr., the SMNI has responded to what they want which focuses on real issues other than “negativity or political mudslinging”.
