Sen. Ping Lacson Speaks on His 2022 Presidential Bid

PING LACSON – Presidential aspirant and incumbent Senator Panfilo Lacson Sr. said that he is the “most qualified, most competent” candidate for the presidency.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) previously said that ten (10) presidential candidates remain on the official ballot for the Election 2022. There was quite a high number of aspirants during the filing of candidacies and the poll body checked on nuisance candidates and removed them from the list.

One of those who remain on the official ballot for the presidential race is incumbent Sen. Ping Lacson. He is running under the political party Partido Para Sa Demokratikong Reporma alongside Senate President Tito Sotto who is gunning for the vice presidency.

Recently, the presidential aspirants were invited by the country’s popular TV hosts for an interview. Sen. Ping Lacson agreed to an interview with Boy Abunda.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, during the said interview, when asked why the people must vote him for president, Sen. Ping Lacson confidently said that he is the “most qualified, most competent, and the most experienced”. According to the Senator, if he wins in the 2022 Election, the first thing that he will do is clean the government from corrupt officials.

Sen. Lacson expressed that he will also remove from office those who are lazy to do their job. According to him, he is really determined for an “internal cleansing” in the government that he will not mind if only 500,000 government officials out of the 1.4 million workers will be left after the cleansing.

Sen. Ping Lacson said that if he wins president, he wants that at the end of his term, the Filipinos know that they are better compared to when his administration started. He also wants to change the perception of the public towards the government to a positive view.
