PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Monday (November 15)
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the intertropical convergence zone and Amihan would bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Monday (November 15, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The ITCZ and the northeast monsoon would affect the country’s weather condition.
The Tail-end of Frontal System or shear line would be affecting the eastern section of Northern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Northern Luzon.
The Amihan/shear line would bring cloudy weather condition with rains over the provinces of Batanes, Cagayan, Sorsogon, Masbate, and Northern Samar. Mindanao would experience similar weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ.
Those areas are expected to experience possible flash floods or landslides during times of moderate to heavy rains.
The northeast monsoon would bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated light rains is expected over Isabela, Quirino, Nueva Vizcaya, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, La Union, Pangasinan, Benguet, Ifugao, Abra, Mountain Province, Apayao, Kalinga, and Aurora.
The Intertropical Convergence Zone would affect Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon, and the rest of Bicol Region as well as Palawan, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Metro Manila and the remaining parts of Luzon will have the same weather condition due to Amihan and localized thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides are expected during severe thunderstorms.
The coastal water condition over the seaboards of Northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. The rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea condition, according to the weather bureau.
