PAGASA Says Easterlies & Shear Line to Bring Cloudy to Rainy Weather Over Parts of PH

PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Thursday (November 11)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies and shear line would bring cloudy to rainy weather over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (November 11, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Tail-end of Frontal System and easterlies would affect the country’s weather condition.

The shear line would be affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon while the Northeast Monsoon would affect the remaining parts of Luzon. Cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms is expected over Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Catanduanes and Northern Samar.

The easterlies would also bring similar weather condition over Samar, Eastern Samar, Cagayan, Isabela, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate, Catanduanes, and Samar Provinces. The possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains.

“Sa araw na ito makakaranas ng maulap na kalangitan at kalat-kalat na pag-ulan dulot ng shear line, ayan po ay sa Cagayan, Isabela, Albay, Sorsogon, Masbate at Catanduanes. Dahil naman sa northeast monsoon ay magiging maulap ang bahagi ng Cagayan Valley, pati na rin ang lalawigan ng Aurora,” Pagasa weather specialist Aldczar Aurelio said.

Partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated light rains are expected over Camarines Sur, Camarines Norte, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Occidental Mindoro due to the Northeast Monsoon or Amihan.

Metro Manila, rest of Luzon, rest of Visayas and Palawan including Kalayaan Islands as well as Mindanao would have the same weather due to the localized thunderstorms.

The coastal water condition over northern Luzon would be moderate to rough. The remaining parts of the country would have slight to moderate surrounding conditions.
