LGU Declare Class Suspensions in These Areas on Monday (October 11)

WALANG PASOK – Several local government units have declares class suspensions in some areas due to the effects of Tropical Storm Maring.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration reported that Tropical Storm Maring will continue to bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country.

Maring has maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 105 kph. It has been last spotted at 645 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan province

PAGASA has raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) in some areas due to the effects of the weather system.

On Monday (October 11, 2021), various local government units have announced the suspension of classes in some parts of the country due to the inclement weather condition brought by the tropical cyclone.

The Facebook page PIA Region declares the cancellation of classes in Cagayan after PAGASA placed the province under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal No. 2. The class cancellation covers the classes from pre-school to high school.

The class suspension has been declared due to possible power interruption and signal outage amid the inclement weather condition.
