PAGASA Says Tropical Storm Maring to Affect PH Weather Condition

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Tropical Storm Maring would bring heavy rains over some parts of the country.

On Monday (October 11, 2021), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Tropical Storm Maring would continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that Maring has been last spotted at 645 kilometers east of Tuguegarao City in Cagayan province. It has maximum sustained winds of 85 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 105 kph.

Maring and the southwest monsoon would bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over Western Visayas, Central Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.

The localized thunderstorms would bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms Eastern Visayas, Bicol Region, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Northern Samar.

The weather system with the remnants of Tropical Depression Nando would bring Moderate to heavy and at times intense rains over Babuyan Islands, Cordillera Administrative Region, and Ilocos Region.

Light to moderate with at times heavy rains are expected over Central Luzon and the rest of Cagayan Valley. Possible flashfloods or landslides are expected in these areas.

The weather agency warned the fisherfolks that sea travel remains risky due to the moderate to rough coastal water condition over the seaboards of Luzon and Visayas, and the northern, eastern, and western seaboards of Mindanao.
