MARIS RACAL – Young actress and singer Maris Racal speaks about the critics over her relationship with Rico Blanco and making issues about their age difference.
Former Rivermaya vocals Rico Blanco is in a relationship with young singer and actress Maris Racal. It all started when the actress posted a video of them singing the song Brighter Than Sunshine with the dominant lyrics saying, “I’m yours and suddenly you’re mine.” The post ignited relationship rumors and shortly, the young artist herself confirmed it.
“Kami po ni Rico. I think basing po sa post na ginawa ko po, I think it’s very obvious,” she said as she confirmed their relationship. People gushed about her fortunate fate to get the singer she admires, however, some naysayers criticized them for their huge 25-year age gap.
In a previous article, the actress shared that they got no problems when they told her mother about it. Surprisingly for their part, her mother understood and it was the opposite of what they were expecting to happen. She then added, “Kung wala kang pretensions, a lot of people will gravitate towards you. Dala-dala ko ‘yan up to now na maging truthful lang.”
And with all of this happening, it has become easier for them to deal with the critical comments about their age difference. They are unbothered with it and they also acknowledge that it must be that way in their opinion while they also have their own. Age has never been an issue in between them and they are just as fine with those negative narratives from other people.
To recall, after their relationship announcement, they made it Instagram official when they posted photos of them after getting a COVID-19 vaccine.
