The mom of Maris Racal has this reaction to her love life
Singer-actress Maris Racal revealed the reaction of her mother to her relationship with singer-songwriter Rico Blanco.
Hints about the relationship between Maris and Rico surfaced on social media when the latter received a sweet birthday greeting from the former. Rico sealed the speculations with an “I love you” reply.
However, it was just recently when Maris has finally confirmed during a virtual media conference that she and Rico are now a couple and she said that it was already obvious.
Following that, she shared a cryptic “age is just a number” post which appeared to be her answer to those who are raising their concerns regarding the big age gap between her and Rico.
In a recent article in The Philippine Star, Maris Racal said that she and Rico Blanco are not bothered by the difference in their age. “In their world, people may have opinions about age gap and relationships. But regarding the issue of age, we’re okay, ‘di kasi kami naba-bother,” she said after saying that it is a “normal relationship” despite the 25-year age gap.
She is also surprised that the public and her family had positive feedback regarding her relationship with Rico. Maris said that her mother was among the first people who knew about this.
“I told my mom about it, she was first on my list. Surprisingly naintindihan niya. Inakala ko maraming magagalit pero kabaligtaran ang nangyari,” Maris Racal said about her mom’s reaction.
She added that being true to one’s self has good result. “Kung wala kang pretensions, a lot of people will gravitate towards you. Dala-dala ko ‘yan up to now na maging truthful lang,” the girlfriend of Rico Blanco stressed.
