Homeowner Catches Suspected Burglar Taking a Shower
A suspected burglar was caught after he was found taking a shower inside the bathroom of a house in Barangay San Vicente, Tarlac City, at around 5:00 a.m. on Tuesday.
The unusual incident began when the homeowner woke up after hearing strange noises coming from the bathroom. After making sure the children were still asleep, the homeowner checked the source of the noise and was shocked to find an unknown man bathing inside the house.
To prevent the suspect from escaping, the homeowner immediately locked the bathroom door and called barangay officials for assistance. When the officials arrived, they found the man still inside the bathroom. He was then taken into custody without incident.
According to the initial investigation, the suspect allegedly entered the house by opening the roll-up door. Authorities believe he thought no one was home, which may have led him to take a shower before allegedly attempting to steal from the property. His unexpected actions gave the homeowner enough time to call for help, resulting in his arrest before any theft was reported.
The suspect was turned over to the Tarlac City Police and remains in police custody. Authorities are preparing to file appropriate charges against him for illegally entering the home and his alleged involvement in an attempted burglary.
The incident quickly drew attention because of its unusual nature. Instead of immediately leaving or carrying out the suspected crime, the man was discovered using the homeowner’s bathroom, leading to his capture.
Police and local officials reminded residents to stay alert and make sure all doors, gates, and other entry points are securely locked, especially during the early morning hours. They also encouraged the public to report suspicious activity immediately to help prevent similar incidents.
