Barbie Forteza has another acting milestone
Kapuso Primetime Queen Barbie Forteza showcased her acting prowess in the teaser of her upcoming film ‘Saving Cherry.’
Spanning over 15 years, Barbie’s acting career transitions seamlessly from a prominent child star into an internationally acclaimed indie film actress and top-tier primetime leading lady.
Aside from mainstream projects, Barbie also starred in Cinemalaya indie drama Mariquina (2014), in which she won the Best Supporting Actress award.
On TV, she has portrayed leading lady roles, and she continues to explore different genres. Barbie Forteza has another remarkable acting project this year.
Prior to the release of the ‘Saving Cherry’ teaser, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, Barbie had already gone viral after posting wedding-themed photos on her social media accounts.
Days after the photos’ virality, she confirmed that it was for much-awaited scene in the movie. On Sunday, July 12, the official teaser for the exciting new movie starring Kapuso star Barbie was released.
“NOT ALL ENDINGS BREAK YOU. She’s finally free,” the caption of the post stated.
Regal Entertainment also shared brief details about the story of Barbie’s upcoming movie. “Cherry’s (Barbie Forteza) meticulously planned wedding and future are suddenly turned upside down after a shocking revelation. Who will save Cherry?” the film company stated.
Barbie is joined by Mika Salamanca, Mikee Quintos, AC Bonifacio, Sassa Girl, and Khalil Ramos in Saving Cherry. Catch the movie’s premiere on September 2 in cinemas nationwide. This is directed by Ivan Andrew Payawal.
