Dennis Padilla uncertain if Julia Barretto and other children have officially dropped his last name from their names.
JULIA BARRETTO – Dennis Padilla gets honest in an interview regarding the last name issues of his children with Marjorie Barretto.
To recall, it was in 2013 when Kapamilya actress filed petition to change her last name to her mother’s last name from “Baldivia”, dropping the surname given to her by her father comedian Dennis Padilla. It all rooted from her parent’s marriage conflict and this was the way she thought will accordingly straighten out the mess of her father.

Like a knife stabbed through his heart, this move from her daughter has pained Padilla because she is already known as a Barretto to the public for her screen name and Baldivia in her official documents would be enough for him. Although hidden as a Baldivia, it would be enough for Dennis this way just as long as she won’t drop his name. The petition was eventually canceled but now, Dennis gets honest in of Ogie Diaz admitting that he doesn’t know if his children with Marjorie Barretto are still carrying her surname with them.

The issues about the surname is something unforgettable to him and years after, he doesn’t anymore if his children are still Baldivia or legally carrying the Barretto now. His eyes swelling in tears, he confessed to Diaz, “I think Barretto na yung ginagamit nila eh.”
He furthered that he wasn’t actually able to ask Julia about this matter anymore. He wonders if her last name in her legal documents is still Baldivia or not and this is because he was afraid to ask her. When he was asked why he is hesitant to ask his children about this, he said in the interview, “Parang nahihiya ako. Natatakot.”
Thinking about it now, he shared that he’s scared to hear the answer from them. He’s afraid to hear that they really did it.
