Julia Barretto Asks Dad Dennis Padilla Questions She Never Asked Him Before
JULIA BARRETTO – Actress Julia Barretto and Dennis Padilla had a meaningful conversation as the young actress asked her dad some questions she had never asked him before.
Actress and vlogger Julia Barretto is the daughter of celebrities Marjorie Barretto and Dennis Padilla and the niece of Gretchen Barretto and Claudine Barretto. She rose to prominence after being cast in ABS-CBN’s fantaserye ‘Kokey.’
The 24-year-old celebrity has become active in Youtube vlogging. On her latest vlog, she featured her dad. She asked the veteran actor some questions she never asked him before.
In her latest Youtube vlog titled ‘QUESTIONS I’VE NEVER ASKED MY DAD,’ Julia Barretto asked her dad Dennis Padilla, “What was your greatest lesson from our past misunderstandings?”
“Number one, I should have listened first, I should not have given my opinion first. Kung baga, parang ‘Dennis, wag ka munang makialam. Alamin mo muna ‘yung puno’t dulo. Bakit hindi mo muna tanungin si Julia?’”
“Kaya lang ang frustration ko kasi dati, gusto ko naman ganoon ang mangyari kaya lang hindi ako makapag-communicate sa inyo kasi everytime na magte-text ako, wala akong nakukuhang feedback,” he added.

This led Dennis Padilla to discuss Julia Barretto’s 2014 petition to change her last name from “Baldivia” to “Barretto.” He said, “Hindi ko maintindihan anong dahilan bakit kailangang ipatanggal e Baldivia ka naman dahil ako tatay mo… Makakabawas ba ito sa pagkatao mo? No. Makakabawas ba ito sa popularity mo? No,” said Dennis.
To this, the young actress replied, “But then again, Pa, just to repeat myself, when you signed those papers to make your marriage with mom null and void, ultimately, that made us your illegitimate children so we were trying to correct your mistake. But I think one of your frustrations is you think you didn’t get the communication that you wanted.”
Julia Barretto then went on to praise her dad for becoming a better person now. She said she’s proud of her dad’s change of heart.
“You’re so much a better person now and I can see it and I’m happy that you reach this point, honestly,” she told him.
