Kapamilya host Vice Ganda expresses fear amid work due to the rise in COVID-19 infections.
VICE GANDA – Due to the continuous rise of COVID-19 cases in the country, Vice Ganda expressed her fear as “Its Showtime” is now back in live airing.
Fear has enveloped the Philippines as the number of total cases and the number of daily logs continues to rise dramatically. The new variants lurking around which are said to be more transmissible is one of the reasons why people get scared. After over a year of being in quarantine, the infections just continue to rise. As of April 15, the country 904,285 of a total number of cases after it recently recorded an additional 11,429 new COVID-19 infections.
The death toll climbed to 15,594 after 148 more patients died and the surge just goes on even amid stringent lockdown measures to curb community transmission. However, life goes on for the Southeast Asian country worst hit by the pandemic. Under a new normal, working individuals proceeded working to survive and tourism in other parts of the country slowly reopened for recovery.
And the ABS-CBN noontime program “Its Showtime” is now back to live airing and one of its mainstay hosts Vice Ganda expressed fear due to the rising of numbers. She shared in the show when they finally returned, “Natatakot! Super takot pero kailangan kong paglabanan yung takot ko. Mag-e-extra ingat na lang. Sabi ko, how can I let our family down? Kapag nilamon ako ng takot at hindi ako pumasok, e, di mawawalan din ng ganang pumasok yung iba?”
However, in keeping himself strong, what he keeps in his mind is that he cannot afford to let down his family. No matter how fearful it is in this time of pandemic, he has to be strong and just be extra careful. She believes they can do it as long as all of them are intact together.
