Here’s what Vice Ganda shares about changes in “Its Showtime” that pressured him.

VICE GANDA – Kapamilya comedian and host Vice Ganda has these revelations about the effects of changes in “It’s Showtime”.

The last year has been really challenging to the biggest media network in the country, the ABS-CBN. The shutdown of the network favored by the majority of the lawmakers has affected the corporation, its employees, and the shows.

A wide retrenchment happened and many of its stars transferred to other networks. Selected programs stayed for their digital platforms and cable channels but most were stopped and got canceled. And among the shows that still continued is “Its Showtime“.

One of the main hosts is Vice Ganda who recently just opened up about the challenges he’s been through as a host. The host shared that much has been changed since the pandemic and the shut down happened. And as host, he must go with the changes so as to deliver qualirt service to the viewers.

Also, among the factors they have to consider is the emotions of their viewers. They have a lot of things to change for there are some they can do before but cannot do at the present times. The Kapamilya TV host said, “Pero ngayon, you have to be sensitive, hindi puwedeng laging masaya, kasi hindi ganun ang emotions ng mga tao.”

It’s also a big adjustment to them on what to do from free airing then suddenly going to digital space and cable TV. Reflecting on what has happened, he added, “So ako, kailangan kong aralin, ano ‘yung sensibilities ng mga cable viewers. Iba siya sa free TV, tas’ biglang naging digital, so ano ‘yung humor sa digital. Ano ang humor sa digital, paano tinatanggap ng digital ang palabas? Ano ba ang klase ang gusto nilang pinapanood?”

All of these have brought a lot of pressure to him. He even described the evolution as “ang lala”. It’s also been difficult for him but taking such brand new challenge makes him happy. He needs to study again his viewers and the jokes he thinks won’t be insensitive.
