Vico Sotto trends on Twitter anew
Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto once again caught the attention of the online community due to his striking statement regarding his duty as a public servant.
For several times, Mayor Vico has trended on social media not just because of his statement but mainly because of the projects that his administration is doing for the people of Pasig.
He has proven that even though he is one of the youngest mayors in the Philippines now, he can still fulfill his duty to his constituents.
Just recently, another statement of Mayor Vico Sotto captured the hearts of netizens. He said this in a recent vlog of actress-vlogger Alex Gonzaga. The latter visited the Pasig City Hall and chatted with the Mayor.
Alex also donated gadgets for the students’ online classes through the clothing brand that she and the Mayor are endorsing.
In the vlog, Alex asked Mayor Vico why she has not seen much of his photo around the city. “Hindi ako mahilig sa mga picture ko. Atsaka, pag project ng LGU, bawal maglagay ng malaking pangalan ko. Bawal ‘yun. Kasi pera ng taumbayan iyon, e. Bakit ako maglalagay ng pangalan ko?” he answered.
“Ang ibig ko lang sabihin, wala tayong utang na loob sa mga politiko. Puwede tayo magpasalamat na, ‘Maganda ‘yung proyekto, maganda ‘yung programa.’ Pero wala tayong utang na loob. Iba ‘yun,” the Mayor added.
Because of this, the name of the Pasig City Mayor topped the Twitter trend. Several netizens expressed their admiration for the young politician.
Previously, Mayor Vico Sotto also trended on Twitter because of his message for the scholars of Pasig City. He said that the scholars owe nothing to public servants.
