Vico Sotto distributed cash incentives to Pasig City scholars
Pasig City scholars who graduated with Latin Honors received cash incentives and this was distributed by Mayor Vico Sotto on Wednesday.
Mayor Vico and the city of Pasig have been catching the attention of the online community and other parts of the Philippines due to the changes being implemented.
It is known to many that the young politician has been receiving recognition due to his and his administration’s effort to bring services to the Pasiguenos. Just recently, Mayor Vico announced that gadgets will be given to students for the distance learning.
It is indeed a helpful endeavor for the families in Pasig who can’t afford to spend extra money for this new set-up in the aspect of education. Aside from this, Mayor Vico Sotto recently shared on his Twitter account that the Pasig City gave cash incentives to their scholars who graduated with Latin Honors.
For Summa cum laude, the city gave P30,000. P25,000 was given to Magna cum Laude while the Cum laude received P20,000. 11 scholars of Pasig City received cash incentives on the morning of Wednesday.
The mayor added that those scholars who sent their requirements may still pass them to the Scholarship Office.
“We also reminded them that as the city and its taxpayers have helped them get through school, they should also find ways to give back to the city… whether through their time, volunteer work, or even helping other students when they become financially capable,” Mayor Vico Sotto added.
